“Deep in the Heart of Texas” is a sweet little ditty (and I mean that with respect, it’s a fun song), and appropriate for such a picture in the most literal sense, as the Phillies are geographically in the heart of Texas. But I have another suggestion.
WE’VE GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS PLACE, IF IT’S THE LAST THING WE EVER DO.
SERIOUSLY LET’S LEAVE TEXAS NOW AND NEVER COME BACK.
Sadly, there’s no leaving Texas, at least until the Phillies have played their game today.
I’ve been searching my soul for something uplifting to say. I don’t want to be all gloom and doom just because the Phillies have gotten their asses kicked by the Rangers two nights in a row. But the best I’ve come up with is this: Let’s get this over with.
And now, guided by those inspiring words, please discuss the game in the comments below.
