It’s Friday, and yesterday’s game was atrocious, so why don’t we just jump right in this morning.
So, about yesterday’s game...
First, read my recap, which is one of the best I’ve done this year. I got angry and philosophical, but after yesterday’s game, Freddy Galvis just got angry. He’s been with the team through all the losing years, and I thiiiiiiink it’s starting to grate on him.

"It sucks. Thats the truth. If somebody says its OK, its not OK. Were (bleeping) losing a lot of games" pic.twitter.com/tJDGXTnkju
You can read his full comments on CSNPhilly, but here’s another great tidbit of his understandable melt down.
"When you're losing and losing and losing …" he vented. "We have to play better baseball. We have to be on the same page. We have four months to go and if we don't start playing better, it's going to be a bad season. We have to play better, play together, fight, make pitches, get on base, move runners.
"We're not doing what it takes to win games. I'm tired of losing so many games. If somebody says it's OK, it's not OK.”
I want the Phillies to win for myself, for my sanity, and for the sanity of thousands of fans like me, but I want the Phillies to win for a guy like Freddy. He’s been on the team since 2012, which means he he’s experienced one .500 season, and every other season since has been a losing one. He knows what the team can do, and he wants them to, you know, actually do it.
We’re with you, Freddy.
Goodbye for now, Nick Pivetta
#Phillies have optioned RHP Nick Pivetta to Lehigh Valley (AAA). A corresponding move will be made prior to tomorrow night's game.

He’ll be back eventually, but with Aaron Nola coming back (praise Jesus), they don’t need him. They could activate Nola tonight, or they could bring someone up for Friday and Saturday and send him back down when they activate Nola before his start on Sunday.
There are some glaring holes in the Phillies offense
I knew that Maikel Franco and Odubel Herrera had been struggling, but this paints it in a whole new light.
Take a look at the improvements (by OPS) the Phillies have made from 2016 to 2017. Green arrows = improvement, red arrows = regression. pic.twitter.com/sPLlkEX5NI

This seems bad
Is this bad? This seems bad.
Joely is the 4th RP in the last 9 seasons to get fewer than 3 outs while allowing 7+ runs, 6+ hits and walking more than he struck out

So that’s bad.
Tweet of the day
To end the week, I’ll leave you with this.
