Brandon Leibrandt takes his first loss of the year after his first sub-par start. Despite the poor result, his line for the season sits at: 22 IP, 22 H, 7 ER, 2 BB, 19 K. In a system devoid of lefties, Leibrandt offers a small (see: very small) hope. After batting .304 in his first 15 games, Scott Kingery has been a bit quieter, hitting just .188 in his last 4.

Clearwater 7, Jupiter 3

Seranthony Dominguez - 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 7 GB, 3 FB
Tyler Gilbert - 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 2 K
Jacob Waguespack - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB, K

Deivi Grullon - 1 for 4, HR, 3 RBI
Jan Hernandez - 1 for 4, 3 K
Drew Stankiewicz - 1 for 3
Emmanuel Marrero - 1 for 3, HR

Even after a tough beginning to the game, Seranthony Dominguez settled into the game and threw 5 scoreless frames after a 2-run 1st inning. According to Matt (and to the broadcast), Dominguez was sitting 95-98 with his fastball. He was backed up with HR’s from Laird (1), Marrero (3) and Grullon (3). Grullon’s 3-run blast in the 5th proved to be the difference in the game.
