Game Thread 5/28: Reds at Phillies

Can the Phillies win two out of three?

The Phillies, in their incredibly ugly Memorial Day uniforms, are attempting to win two consecutive games. Two games in a row. That’s it. That’s the goal.

When was the last time the Phillies won two games in a row? April 27, the last game of their 6-game winning streak. Over a month ago.

How much older are we all now after this month? Only 30 days have passed, but it feels like decades. But the Phillies could take some of those years off of us all today with a win. Please.

Today's Lineups

CINCINNATI REDS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Jose Peraza - 2B Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Zack Cozart - SS Odubel Herrera - CF
Joey Votto - 1B Aaron Altherr - LF
Adam Duvall - LF Tommy Joseph - 1B
Eugenio Suarez - 3B Michael Saunders - RF
Scott Schebler - CF Maikel Franco - 3B
Patrick Kivlehan - RF Andrew Knapp - C
Tucker Barnhart - C Freddy Galvis - SS
Scott Feldman - RHP Zach Eflin - RHP

It’s redemption time for Zach Eflin, who’s had two bad starts and needs a good one. Odubel Herrera is near the top of the lineup again, and he needs a good day at the plate. (At least he’s cutting down on the strikeouts.)

But let’s stay positive! They can do this! Absolutely! Please! PLEASE!
