Game Thread 5/4: Phillies at Cubs

A win equals a split, so let’s hope for that.

It’s a small miracle that in four games at Wrigley Field, the Phillies and Cubs are playing just one day game. And it’s this one!

A win today would mean the Phillies would earn a split on the series, and considering that the Cubs are the defending World Series champions with very few changes to their lineup, that’s an enormous positive.

Let’s see who’ll be playing today.

Today's Lineups

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES CHICAGO CUBS
Cesar Hernandez - 2B Jon Jay - LF
Aaron Altherr - LF Kris Bryant - 3B
Odubel Herrera - CF Anthony Rizzo - 1B
Maikel Franco - 3B Addison Russell - SS
Michael Saunders - RF Miguel Montero - C
Tommy Joseph - 1B Albert Almora - CF
Cameron Rupp - C Javier Baez - 2B
Freddy Galvis - SS John Lackey - RHP
Zach Eflin - RHP Matt Szczur - RF

Zach Eflin, may the force be with you as you face this lineup. (Get it? Because it’s May the 4th? And that sounds like a “Star Wars” thing? Do you get it? It’s very funny, I’ve been told it’s hilarious.)
