Sashay Away: Cardinals 3, Phillies 2

We all make choices about what we watch. And I made one tonight.

Tonight was the night that the final four was supposed to be whittled down to the final three RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants. It’s the last real episode before the finale, but RuPaul switched things up again as she’s wont to do! All four of the final queens, Peppermint, Shea Coulee, Trinity Taylor, and Sasha Velour, will go to the finale! We only have two more weeks until we find out who will win Season 9!

Oh, did you come here for a baseball recap? Really? I can see why you’d do that, since this is a website dedicated to the Philadelphia Phillies, but they lost 3-2 to the Cardinals after blowing a chance to score the tying run in the top of the ninth inning. I decided to spend the early innings of the game watching the penultimate episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, or the pre-penultimate episode, because the reunion is next week and not the finale. I know you couldn’t care less, but I do, because it was far more interesting than the Phillies were tonight.

Jeremy Hellickson was fine. He gave up all three runs, but it was an improvement over some of his previous starts. Aaron Altherr had three hits. Howie Kendrick had two. Odubel Herrera had one, extending his hitting streak, though it wasn’t an extra-base hit. It’s pretty clear that Drag Race was the more interesting choice tonight.

Need more proof? About Drag Race?

These queens are amazing.

But here is The Queen.

And this one’s for LTG and Trev.

And one more.

Discovering RuPaul’s Drag Race did actually change my life, but so did baseball.

The Phillies have a lot of other games. And hopefully, at least a few of them will be better than this one. But the next two Fridays? The Phillies can feel free to have crappy games. Because I’ll be watching Drag Race.
