Game Thread 6/18: Diamondbacks at Phillies

Let it end.

“Let it end” is something I’ve said at the conclusion of a lot of series this season. Usually because the Phillies have lost all the other games in the series and I’m desperate for them to try again against a different team, as if it will be different or better.

Okay, that’s ultra depressing.

So, uh, happy Father’s Day to all the dads and dad figures out there! Pay no attention to the result of this game, just enjoy your day.

This is actually the second lineup the Phillies have put out for this game. Originally, they had Michael Saunders in left field. I guess because it was Father’s Day, Pete Mackanin decided he didn’t want to subject us to a Michael Saunders start. Pete, we thank you.
