Game Thread 6/26: Phillies at Diamondbacks

Today we’ll say goodbye to Arizona until 2018.

Today is the Phillies last game against AND in Arizona for the rest of 2017. Let us all rejoice and be glad, because every game has been excruciating. Even the one win was a nail-biter. At least for two games, the Phillies have made life difficult for the Diamondbacks. They could use some easy wins right now as we approach the dog days of baseball summer, and it’s encouraging that the Phillies didn’t just lay down and give it to them.

Today's Lineups

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS
Daniel Nava - LF Chris Herrmann - LF
Freddy Galvis - SS Nick Ahmed - SS
Aaron Altherr - RF David Peralta - RF
Maikel Franco - 3B Jake Lamb - 3B
Odubel Herrera - CF Chris Owings - 2B
Andres Blanco - 2B Daniel Descalso - 1B
Brock Stassi - 1B Rey Fuentes - CF
Andrew Knapp - C Jeff Mathis - C
Nick Pivetta - RHP Zack Greinke - RHP

Ooh, another Andrew Knapp start. I’m not sure if he’s Nick Pivetta’s personal catcher at this point, but he went 2-for-4 yesterday and definitely deserves another start. Oh, and he’s hitting about 40 points better than Cameron Rupp right now. And Knapp is hitting .247, so that should tell you all you need to know about how Rupp’s been doing. Regardless, hello again Andrew Knapp!
