Pawtucket 5, Lehigh Valley 4 (10 innings)

Brandon Leibrandt - 5 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 6 K, HR, 5 GB, 3 FB
Jesen Therrien - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, K
Scott Kingery - 1 for 5, K, SB
J.P. Crawford - 0 for 3, R, 2 BB, CS (throwing error)
Jorge Alfaro - 0 for 3, 2 BB
Dylan Cozens - 2 for 4, 2 R, HR, BB, K, SB (outfield assist, home)
Rhys Hoskins - 1 for 5, R, RBI, K
Nick Williams - 2 for 4, 2 2B, RBI, BB, K
Andrew Pullin - 0 for 5, 2 K

A lot of exciting things to break down in last night’s game. First, you saw the AAA debuts of both Scott Kingery and Brandon Leibrandt. The latter didn’t do too shabby, throwing 67 of his 98 pitches for strikes. Kingery finally got the call after he had fans clamoring for his promotion a week into the season. His stolen base gave him 20 on the season in 23 attempts. Dylan Cozens hit his 17th HR and stole his 5th base. The IronPigs actually collected more walks (10) than both hits (7) and strikeouts (7) in the game. They also went 2 for 15 with RISP and left 11 on base.

Reading 5, Harrisburg 3

Ranfi Casimiro - 4 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 4 K, 2 HR, 6 GB, 0 FB
Austin Davis - 1.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, K
Zach Coppola - 2 for 4, R, CS (outfield assist, home)
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 3, R, BB
Kyle Martin - 1 for 4, RBI, K
Jiandido Tromp - 0 for 2, 2 R, RBI, BB
Mitch Walding - 2 for 3, HR, 2 RBI, BB, K
Malquin Canelo - 0 for 4 (fielding error)

I’m hoping this was a bullpen game night because Ranfi Casimiro should not be near a starting rotation ever. Reading inched their way back in this game to score 5 unanswered runs. Mitch Walding is going on a tear that probably makes Cormican unapologetic-ally happy. His HR last night was his 17th, but since May 31st he is slashing .300/.356/.813 with 11 HR in 80 at-bats.

Lakewood 6, Greensboro 0

Ranger Suarez - 7.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 9 K, 9 GB, 3 FB
Daniel Brito - 2 for 4, R, 2B, BB, K
Arquimedes Gamboa - 2 for 3, R, 2 BB
Mickey Moniak - 0 for 5, R, RBI, K, SB
Darick Hall - 2 for 5, 2B, HR, 2 K
Henri Lartigue - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2B, RBI, K
Edgar Cabral - 2 for 4, RBI, K
David Martinelli - 1 for 3, HBP
Luke Williams - 1 for 4, 2 K
Enmanuel Garcia - 0 for 3, HBP, SB

Ranger Saurez comes just 4 outs away from completing a perfect game. A line drive single to center field broke it up in the top of the 8th. He was immediately replaced following the hit as he was already at 98 pitches. Darick Hall keeps slowly closing in on the South Atlantic League lead in homers, batting his 13th of the season last night (2nd best in the SAL, three off the league-lead). Though he didn’t get a hit last night, Mickey Moniak stole his 7th base.

Williamsport 4, Auburn 3

Will Stewart - 5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 4 K, HR, 2 WP, 11 GB, 0 FB
Raul Rivas - 1 for 5, 2B
Nick Maton - 1 for 4, R, 2B, BB, 2 K
Jake Scheiner - 0 for 4, BB, K
Greg Pickett - 1 for 2
Austin Listi - 0 for 2, RBI
Cole Stobbe - 1 for 4, HR, K
Josh Stephen - 0 for 1
Jesus Alastre - 1 for 3, R, K
Rodolfo Duran - 2 for 3, R, BB, K
Malvin Matos - 1 for 4, 2B, 2 RBI
Juan Luis - 0 for 3, BB, 3 K

Will Stewart has another effective outing and earns his 1st win of the season. The win broke a 6-game losing streak and only their second since their opening day victory last week. This game saw the pro debuts of 2017 round picks Nick Maton (SS, 7th round) and Connor Brogdon (RHP, 10th round) last night. Cole Stobbe hit is 3rd HR of the season, one off the league-lead. Greg Pickett has been the Crosscutters best hitter so far this season, hitting safely in 6 of his 7 games and slashing .296/.296/.481 with 1 HR in 27 at-bats. Just ignore the 13 strikeouts...
