Lehigh Valley 6, Buffalo 3 (GM2 of DH, makeup of 6/6 ppd, 7 innings)

Cesar Ramos - 3.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, K, 3 GB, 5 FB

Nick Williams - 1 for 6, HR
J.P. Crawford - 0 for 2, R, BB (missed catch error)
Jiandido Tromp - 0 for 2

LHV swept a doubleheader with Cesar Ramos AND Mark Leiter Jr. starting, what a world. For an added bonus, the first game was a victory over former Phillies legend Brett Oberholtzer. All the dingers yesterday came in the second game. The Bash Brothers (Hoskins and Cozens) hit their 14th together and Nick Williams added his 12th.

Bowie 12, Reading 5 (GM1 of DH, 7 innings)
Reading 4, Bowie 0 (GM2 of DH, makeup of 6/6 ppd, 7 innings)

Tyler Viza - 3.2 IP, 9 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 4 BB, 3 K, HR, 4 GB, 2 FB
Mario Sanchez - 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 3 K, 4 GB, 5 FB

Angelo Mora - 3 for 6, 2 R, 2B, HR, BB, 2 K
Carlos Tocci - 1 for 7, RBI, 2 K
Malquin Canelo - 0 for 3, BB, K (fielding error)
Mitch Walding - 1 for 3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 K (fielding error)
Kyle Martin - 2 for 3, 3B, HR

News flash! Tyler Viza may be pretty bad (John Richy in relief was probably equally so). BUT! Mario Sanchez made his third start of the season and actually looked good. Reminder, this is the 22 yr old kid we got for the broken Jimmy Cordero earlier this year. Angelo Mora (6), Kyle Martin (10) and Mitch Walding (11) cranking those baseballs last night. For those following, Walding has 6 homeruns in his last 7 games.

Lakewood 6, Kannapolis 4

Adonis Medina - 6 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, BB, 9 K, HR, WP, 2 HBP
Casey Brown - 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, K
Will Hibbs - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, K
Daniel Brito - 0 for 3, R, BB, K
Raul Rivas - 2 for 4, R, 2 RBI, SB
Mickey Moniak - 1 for 4, 2B, 2 RBI
Darick Hall - 0 for 3, BB, K
Henri Lartigue - 1 for 3, R, BB (passed ball)
Brett Barbier - 0 for 3, R
Luke Williams - 2 for 4, R
David Martinelli - 0 for 4, 2 K
Enmanuel Garcia - 1 for 3, R, K

Adonis Medina’s up and down year continues, though at least last night he showed some resemblance of stuff he showed just a month ago. On the season the 20 year old sits at: 53.1 IP, 46 H, 21 ER, 21 walks and 63 strikeouts. Daniel Brito’s puzzling slump continues as his average dips down to .235. It was as high as .333 as of May 3rd. The Blueclaws were down 4-0 heading into the bottom of the 7th when they were able to plate all 6 of their runs. It was Moniak’s two-out, two-RBI double that gave Lakewood the lead.
