Game Thread 7/19: Phillies at Marlins

An early start with the hope of winning the series.

Today the Phillies have the chance to actually win a series. I know! It’s strange, but true. In two games against the Marlins, they’ve won one and lost one. Usually at this point, we’re begging the Phillies to win so they don’t get swept. It’s nice to not fear the broom today.

So who are the Phillies sending out onto the diamond today? Let’s have a gander.

Today's Lineups

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES MIAMI MARLINS
Cesar Hernandez - 2B Dee Gordon - 2B
Freddy Galvis - SS Giancarlo Stanton - RF
Nick Williams - RF Christian Yelich - CF
Maikel Franco - 3B Marcell Ozuna - LF
Daniel Nava - LF Justin Bour - 1B
Tommy Joseph - 1B Derek Dietrich - 3B
Odubel Herrera - CF A.J. Ellis - C
Andrew Knapp - C Miguel Rojas - SS
Nick Pivetta - RHP Dan Straily - RHP

Cam Perkins gets a break in favor of Daniel Nava, and Cameron Rupp is sitting so Andrew Knapp can start. Odubel Herrera is hitting in the seventh spot again, which, okay, fine. Nick Pivetta is on the mound, hoping to make up for his last start. (It wasn’t great.)
