Game Thread 7/2: Phillies at Mets

Hey, remember at the end of April when we were so tired of the Mets that we could all vomit? And then remember how the Phillies didn’t have to play them for a really long time? And how awesome that was?

Can we go back to that time? Because it’s nuts how quickly those feelings of “the Mets make me want to vomit” came back.

Today, Nick Pivetta is on the mound. And he’s looking for some good old fashioned redemption after giving up six runs in 2.2 innings in Arizona. Hopefully he finds it today and the Phillies can leave New York without being swept.

Even if the Phillies do win a game, they won’t be “leaving” New York. They’ll be fleeing. Because the Mets are nothing but pain.
