After hitting up Milwaukee last week to play the Brewers, the Brewers are here now to play the Phillies. And it’s a much different Brewers team than we saw. In fact, the last game they won? It was against the Phillies on Saturday, July 15. They’ve lost every game since, including one to the Phillies.
So this is a Brewers team that needs to bounce back. And hey, the Phillies are MLB’s resident bounce back enablers! Come to Philadelphia and beat up on the Phillies! It’ll be fun! Ignore the fans flinging themselves into walls and down flights of stairs!
Or, of course, the Phillies could keep doing what they’ve been doing. Honestly, at this point? I’m fine with either. Win, lose, I’ll be here either way, writing the recap and drinking heavily.
Something that does make a difference tonight is the starting pitcher. Because it’s Aaron Nola night, and Aaron Nola nights are the best nights.
Go get ‘em, Aaron. And discuss the game in the comments below.
