Game Thread 7/25: Astros at Phillies

Please don’t hurt us again.

MLB: Houston Astros at Philadelphia Phillies John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

Oh sweet Moses, last night was horrible. Really bad. I mean, it’s not like we don’t know that the Astros are a better team than the Phillies. We’re well aware. But did they have to beat the Phillies into the ground like that? Seriously, that sucked almost completely, save for Nick Williams’ triple.

But tonight they’re back at it again, because they have to be. That’s the point of all this. So let’s see who’s gonna be out there.

Today's Lineups

HOUSTON ASTROS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Jose Altuve - 2B Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Josh Reddick - RF Freddy Galvis - SS
Yulieski Gurriel - 1B Nick Williams - RF
Evan Gattis - C Howie Kendrick - LF
Marwin Gonzalez - SS Odubel Herrera - CF
Derek Fisher - CF Maikel Franco - 3B
Alex Bregman - 3B Tommy Joseph - 1B
Norichika Aoki - LF Cameron Rupp - C
Charlie Morton - RHP Nick Pivetta - RHP

Oh no, Nick Pivetta. I’m so sorry, Nick. I have faith in you, but the Astros have a scary offense. Maybe Charlie Morton will give the Phillies offense a little help by sucking and being easy to hit. At the very least, I’d like them to avoid a blowout tonight. Keep the bar low, right? That way it’s harder to be disappointed.
