Game Thread 7/6: Pirates at Phillies

Let’s say goodbye to the Pirates until 2018.

Tonight Jeremy Hellickson takes the mound, and this is an important outing. He had two good starts in a row, and then sort of crapped all over himself in New York. This is another chance for him to audition for potential trade partners, and if the Phillies want anyone to consider giving up anything of even remote value for him at the deadline, he needs to do well.

Let’s see who else is on the diamond tonight.

Today's Lineups

PITTSBURGH PIRATES PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Josh Harrison - 2B Daniel Nava - LF
Jose Osuna - LF Freddy Galvis - SS
Andrew McCutchen - CF Maikel Franco - 3B
Josh Bell - 1B Tommy Joseph - 1B
David Freese - 3B Aaron Altherr - RF
Gregory Polanco - RF Odubel Herrera - CF
Elias Diaz - C Andrew Knapp - C
Max Moroff - SS Andres Blanco - 2B
Chad Kuhl - RHP Jeremy Hellickson - RHP

Daniel Nava is at the top of the lineup again tonight after going 3-for-4 last night. Andrew Knapp is catching again, and the less I have to see Cameron Rupp, the better. Knapp has also shaved his beard back down to a mustache, and I definitely approve.
