Game Thread 7/9: Jerad Eickhoff returns to the Phillies

The first half comes to a close.

On Saturday, the Phillies sent Ben Lively back to Triple-A to make room for Jerad Eickhoff. Who? Yeah. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen him, and even longer somehow since we saw him have a good start.

Will we see him have a good start today? Will the Phillies be able to close out the first half with a win? Or failing that, a little dignity?

It remains to be seen. But that’s the lineup the Phillies are finishing the first half with. As they say, it is what it is. Regardless, it’ll be nice to see Eickhoff back in action today. And Ben Lively will be back, that I’m sure of.
