Game Thread 8/2: Phillies at Angels

Let’s find the win again.

MLB: Philadelphia Phillies at Los Angeles Angels Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

This isn’t the start of another great regression, right? The Phillies lost 7-1 last night, and it wasn’t great, and I’m looking ahead and if they keep losing I’ll...

I’m getting ahead of myself. They’ve lost one game in their last six, and that’s pretty great. They could bring it back tonight!

Today's Lineups

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES LOS ANGELES ANGELS
Cesar Hernandez - 2B Ben Revere - LF
Freddy Galvis - SS Mike Trout - CF
Odubel Herrera - CF Albert Pujols - DH
Tommy Joseph - 1B Luis Valbuena - 3B
Hyun Soo Kim - LF Andrelton Simmons - SS
Maikel Franco - 3B C.J. Cron - 1B
Daniel Nava - RF Kaleb Cowart - 2B
Cameron Rupp - C Martin Maldonado - C
Andrew Knapp - DH Ramon Flores - RF
Jake Thompson - RHP JC Ramirez - RHP

Well, I mean, there’s definitely a possibility they could bring it back. No one’s making any promises here. There are no guarantees in baseball. They could win, they could lose. Mike Trout could get amnesia and think he’s a member of the Phillies. Albert Pujols could retire mid-game due to his heretofore unknown dream to become an accountant.

Okay, that stuff probably won’t happen. But a girl can dream, can’t she?
