Jose Tavares has had quite the interesting season. Though he holds a 2.40 ERA in 142.1 innings across 3 levels of the minors, somehow he has given up 20 of his 38 earned runs via the longball. Apparently when he misses, he really misses. The game was actually tied at 7 before a rain delay prevented the last two innings of being played. Once the game resumed, Pat Venditte and Cesar Ramos gave up the 3 runs to put the game out of reach. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Scott Kingery extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
Reading 12, Bowie 9 (10 innings)
Cole Irvin - 7 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 3 K, 10 GB, 5 FB
Zach Coppola - 3 for 6, R, RBI, K, SB

Zach Green - 1 for 4, 2 K, HBP
Malquin Canelo - 1 for 5, R, RBI
Cole Irvin left the game with a 7-2 lead, but the bullpen collapsed shortly thereafter. Victor Arano gave up a 5-spot in the 8th inning and Austin Davis gave up the tying run in the bottom of the 9th. Reading then put together a 4-run top of the 10th to regain the lead. There were 7 combined homeruns in the game. Kyle Martin (20, 21), Jiandido Tromp (16) and Drew Stankiewicz (4) went deep for the Fightin Phils. Tromp also stole his 7th and 8th bases as well.
Clearwater 4, Fort Myers 0
Seranthony Dominguez - 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 6 K, WP, HBP, 4 GB, 5 FB

Edgar Cabral - 0 for 4, RBI, K
Jan Hernandez - 0 for 3, 2 K
Jose Pujols - 1 for 4
After a lengthy stint on the DL and slowly working his strength back up, it appears Seranthony Dominguez might be back? Last night’s start was one of his best of the season. According to Jim Peyton over at PhuturePhillies, Dominguez’s fastball sat around 95-97 and touched 98 in the 6th inning. He also threw 48 of his 77 pitches for strikes and hasn’t broken the 80 pitch threshold since returning from the DL.

Bailey Falter improves to 8-6 and gets help via a 3-run 3rd inning. Daniel Brito hits his 6th HR of the season and is batting .282 in his last 10 games. Meanwhile, Mickey Moniak is just 3 for 40 in his last 10 games with only 1 walk.
