Game Thread 8/23: Marlins at Phillies

Just one game this time.

Oh thank the Lord, there’s only one game today. That is such a relief. No matter what happens, the Phillies will only be able to lose one game today. That’s the limit! That’s all!

And hey, they may not even lose! They might just even win!

Today's Lineups

MIAMI MARLINS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Dee Gordon - 2B Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Giancarlo Stanton - RF Freddy Galvis - SS
Christian Yelich - CF Nick Williams - CF
Marcell Ozuna - LF Rhys Hoskins - LF
J.T. Realmuto - C Tommy Joseph - 1B
Derek Dietrich - 3B Maikel Franco - 3B
Tomas Telis - 1B Pedro Florimon - RF
Miguel Rojas - SS Jorge Alfaro - C
Justin Nicolino - LHP Mark Leiter - RHP

Or they could lose. But you know what? Cameron Rupp is sitting tonight, presumably so he can play during tomorrow’s day game. And I’m thrilled with that. We’re inching closer to and closer to the lineup that should actually exist. There’s a chance we might see it after the rosters expand!

Let’s all hope. I want to see it. And I’m pretty sure a lot of you want to, too.
