Syracuse 5, Lehigh Valley 4

Tommy Bergjans - 5 IP, 3 H, 4 R (4 ER), 3 BB, 3 K, 1 HR, 3 GB, 7 FB
Scott Kingery - 1-for-5, K, SB
J.P. Crawford - 0-for-5, 3 K
Carlos Tocci - 0-for-5, 2 K

Andrew Pullin - 1-for-3, 2B, K
Angelo Mora - 1-for-3, 2 R, BB, K
Herlis Rodriguez - 0-for-1, K

A 4-run 6th inning for Syracuse spelled doom for the IronPigs, who are now 4 GB of Rochester in the International League Wild Card race. Scott Kingery extended his hit streak to 21 games with an infield single in the 9th inning. Dylan Cozens had a nice and productive night at the plate with an RBI double and sac fly. J.P. Crawford and Carlos Tocci combined for a real ugly line at the plate.

Bowie 7, Reading 3

Jacob Waguespack - 6 IP, 7 H, 4 R (4 ER), 2 BB, 6 K, 1 HR, 6 GB, 4 FB

Kyle Martin - 1-for-4, RBI, K
Zach Green - 1-for-4, 2 K
Malquin Canelo - 1-for-2, 2B, 2 BB

The Fightin Phils’ magic number from being eliminated from the Eastern League playoffs is now down to 5. Jacob Waguespack had a mediocre outing but wasn’t given much run support to work with. Zach Coppola and Jiandido Tromp swiped their 26th and 9th bags, respectively. Tromp also had his second consecutive 3-for-5, multi-RBI night.

Edgar Cabral - 1-for-4, R, RBI, K
Wilson Garcia - 1-for-5, 2 K
Jose Pujols - 1-for-3, R, 2B, BB, 2 K

JoJo Romero’s outing was shortened due to a rain delay. Jose Gomez, after starting his Phillies minor league career with a 6-game hitting streak, is now back on a 5-game hit streak. He also had his first multi-hit game with Clearwater.

Austin Listi - 1-for-5, 2 R, K
Luke Williams - 2-for-5, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2B
Colby Fitch - 2-for-5, R, BB, Passed ball

Lakewood exploded for a 14-spot on Hagerstown. Darick Hall put up a wicked stat line and also set the single-season Lakewood record for both home runs (26) and RBI (93). Adam Haseley went for his second multi-hit game along with his first double in the South Atlantic League. 10 different BlueClaws recorded a hit in this one - all 9 starters plus a David Martinelli single in his only AB of the game.

Cole Stobbe had a nice day at the plate in both games as he recorded his 7th double in the first game and 8th home run in the second game.
