Here’s the big question: what will Rhys Hoskins do today?
That’s not the only question, of course.
Here’s another one: will the Phillies get shellacked today?
I want the answers to be “hit another home run” and “no,” respectively. But this is what I’m willing to do. I’m willing to let the Phillies get shellacked if Rhys Hoskins can hit another home run. Is that reasonable? I think so.
So okay, I don’t actually have control of this. But it’s a nice thought. A nice, nice thought.

Greetings, Nick Pivetta! Your goal for today: don’t give up 17 runs. And if you feel like a challenge, try to keep it to under 6. Some would say it’s a low bar, but even a low bar is high if you’re flat on the ground, or if your pitching staff gave up 17 runs last night.
