Double shot of Braves, no wait don’t leave!

MLB: Atlanta Braves at Philadelphia Phillies Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

I regret to inform you that the Phillies must play the Braves for two games today. Last night’s game was rained out, so that means we have to tolerate like six-plus hours of the Braves today.

But look at the upside: two Phillies games today! And 6-8 chances to see Rhys Hoskins hit a home run! Or hit anything. Home run, single, double, triple, hell yeah. Just hit, my man. Just hit the ball.

Today's Lineups

ATLANTA BRAVES PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Ender Inciarte - CF Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Brandon Phillips - 3B Freddy Galvis - SS
Freddie Freeman - 1B Nick Williams - RF
Nick Markakis - RF Rhys Hoskins - LF
Kurt Suzuki - C Tommy Joseph - 1B
Matt Adams - LF Maikel Franco - 3B
Ozzie Albies - 2B Pedro Florimon - CF
Dansby Swanson - SS Jorge Alfaro - C
R.A. Dickey - RHP Jerad Eickhoff - RHP

We’ve got Jerad Eickhoff on the mound for game one, and Jorge Alfaro is catching him. At least Pete Mackanin has realized that the only way Jorge Alfaro is ever going to get to know Eickhoff and Aaron Nola when they pitch is for him to actually catch them in a game. Can’t get anything past Pete Mackanin! Nope!
