Game Thread 9/13: Marlins at Phillies

Let’s hope tonight’s game is shorter.

MLB: Miami Marlins at Philadelphia Phillies
WINNING!
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Holy crap, last night’s game was something else. Fifteen (!!) innings, two walkoffs somehow, home runs, Rhys Hoskins, Nick Williams in a wet t-shirt...

Uh, anyway. What am I doing here? Oh yeah. Phillies. Baseball. Lineups.

To the lineups!

Today's Lineups

MIAMI MARLINS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Dee Gordon - 2B Odubel Herrera - CF
Giancarlo Stanton - RF Freddy Galvis - SS
Christian Yelich - CF Rhys Hoskins - 1B
Marcell Ozuna - LF Nick Williams - RF
Justin Bour - 1B Aaron Altherr - LF
Brian Anderson - 3B Maikel Franco - 3B
A.J. Ellis - C Cameron Rupp - C
Mike Aviles - SS J.P. Crawford - 2B
Dan Straily - RHP Aaron Nola - RHP

Maikel Franco will not be denied, folks. He’s been hitting so well lately that Pete Mackanin would be out of his mind to sit him. And so Franco plays. And so does Cameron Rupp, catching nine tonight after stepping in for Jorge Alfaro in the late innings.

And Nick Williams and J.P. Crawford are there, and Odubel Herrera, and Aaron Nola is starting. It’s all so wonderful. I’m so happy.
