Let’s get it on.

Today! There is a game! Two teams enter! And then two teams leave! Because this is not a fight to the death! But one team will leave a winner! And one team will leave a loser! Because that’s how baseball works! WOO LET’S GO!

Today's Lineups

OAKLAND A'S PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Marcus Semien - SS Cesar Hernandez - 2B
Matt Joyce - LF J.P. Crawford - SS
Chad Pinder - RF Rhys Hoskins - LF
Matt Olson - 1B Aaron Altherr - CF
Matt Chapman - 3B Nick Williams - RF
Mark Canha - CF Maikel Franco - 3B
Joey Wendle - 2B Tommy Joseph - 1B
Josh Phegley - C Cameron Rupp - C
Sean Manaea - LHP Henderson Alvarez - RHP

Today is also the start of the Phillies six-man rotation, which will take us to the end of the season. And Henderson Alvarez is the man who will start it off. Yay? Sure, why not. At least now the Phillies won’t run out of pitchers.

J.P. Crawford is at shortstop today, and Hoskins is back in left field, and Aaron Altherr is at center to give Odubel Herrera a day off.

Goodbye, interleague play. Catch you in 2018. Discuss the game in the comments below.
