Go on a journey with me for a minute. Remember back about 24 hours ago, when the Phillies shellacked Jacob deGrom and J.P. Crawford made his debut and we didn’t have to see Cameron Rupp or Tommy Joseph?
Well, I’m sorry to have to break this to you.
NIGHTMARE SCENARIO.
So it’s not quite a nightmare. J.P. Crawford is still in the lineup, thank god. And so is Rhys Hoskins. But then you keep going and you notice that Odubel Herrera isn’t there, and Cameron Rupp and Tommy Joseph are.
If this is all because Odubel Herrera shouldn’t play on wet grass, I get that. I can understand that. That’s okay. But if the lineup looks like this because Pete Mackanin wants to get Rupp and Joseph at-bats, then somebody load him into a cannon and get him out of here, because I can’t take it anymore.
Well, we can’t do anything about this lineup. All we can do is watch it. And in the end YAY J.P. CRAWFORD!
