Two big, morale-boosting, confidence-establishing wins over a bad Reds team have done a lot for Philadelphia over the past two nights. First, Ben Lively escaped a loss thanks to the power of Nick Williams. Then, Aaron Nola stymied Cincinnati with the help of an Odubel Herrera double, a clutch J.P. Crawford single, and a bases-loaded homer (there should really be a name for that) from Scott Kingery.
The point is, everyone has found a way to contribute, with guys like Rhys Hoskins and Carlos Santana just sort of humming in the background with their typically stellar production. As Nick Pivetta takes the mound tonight, a sweep in the works, who knows what heroics await us.
Discuss here in this thread with us, why don’t you.
