Game Thread 4/9: Reds at Phillies

Ben Lively gets the ball as the Phillies open a series against the lowly Reds.

MLB: New York Mets at Philadelphia Phillies John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

His first 5.2 innings behind him this season, Ben Lively looks to suppress the highly suppressible Cincinnati lineup, a team he has never faced. Losers of six of their first eight, the Reds aren’t faring much better than the Phillies to start the 2018 season, but they’re trying to do it with a far more traditional manner of baseball playing. Their champion will be Cody Reed, who is making his season debut and, in 2.0 career inning vs. the Phillies, has allowed no hits, no runs, and four walks.

Get ‘im, Rhys.
