Today’s Probables:

LHV: Enyel De Los Santos (10:30am start on MiLB.tv)
REA: JoJo Romero (10:30am start on MiLB.tv)
CLR: McKenzie Mills
LWD: Will Stewart

Lehigh Valley 4, Pawtucket 1

Brandon Leibrandt - 5 IP, 4 H, 0 R, BB, K, 9 GB, 3 FB
Jake Thompson - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 K
Dylan Cozens - 1 for 4, R, RBI, K, SB
Mitch Walding - 1 for 4, K (fielding error)
Andrew Pullin - 2 for 4, R, 2B, SB

If you haven’t noticed already, Brandon Leibrandt has excelled in any role he has been put in this season. Between relieving and spot starting, he has thrown 23 shutout innings to start the season. In this 23 innings he has allowed only 12 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 12. Another game without Roman Quinn in the lineup, but no official DL stint. Let’s hope he is just nursing something and will be back in the lineup soon. Dylan Cozens showing off that blazing speed (obv. sarcasm) with his 7th SB.

Reading 2, Trenton 0

Harold Arauz - 5.1 IP, 4 H, 0 R, BB, 4 K, 7 GB, 4 FB
Zach Coppola - 1 for 5, R, (outfield assist, 3B)
Malquin Canelo - 0 for 4 (throwing error)
Damek Tomscha - 2 for 3, R, K, HBP
Zach Green - 2 for 4, 2B, 2 RBI, K
Cornelius Randolph - 0 for 3, BB
Jan Hernandez - 0 for 4, 2 K
Deivi Grullon - 2 for 4 (throwing error and passed ball)
Cord Sandberg - 0 for 4, 2 K
Emmanuel Marrero - 1 for 4, SB

Harold Arauz improves to 3-0 and holds a 3.27 ERA in 33 innings with 30 strikeouts to 8 walks. I partially wrote him off last season, but perhaps there is still back of the rotation potential for Arauz (or at the very least a long-man in the bullpen). The offense behind him delivered their only big blow via a two-run double from Zach Green in the 3rd inning. Seth McGarry and Edgar Garcia combined for the 3.2 innings of shutout relief.

Clearwater 2, Lakeland 1

Adonis Medina - 7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, WP, 9 GB, 6 FB (fielding error)
Arquimedes Gamboa - 1 for 3, 2 BB, K
Adam Haseley - 0 for 5 (outfield assists, home & 2B)
Austin Listi - 1 for 2, 2 BB, K, HBP
Darick Hall - 1 for 5, K
Mickey Moniak - 1 for 4, R, 2 K
Edgar Cabral - 1 for 4, K
Raul Rivas - 1 for 4, R, 2B, RBI, K
Jose Gomez - 2 for 4, RBI
Luke Williams - 0 for 4 (fielding error)

It’s safe to say that Medina is officially back after a disappointing couple starts in April. He lowered his ERA a full-run in this game (4.55). Medina gave up his lone run in this outing during the 7th inning. He looked to be in line for the loss being down 1-0, but the Threshers would score both of their runs in the top of the 8th via a RBI double from Raul Rivas and a RBI single from Jose Gomez.
