Today’s Probables:

LHV: Drew Anderson
REA: Jose Tavares
CLR: Adonis Medina
LWD: GM1 Ramon Rosso, GM1 Will Stewart

Lehigh Valley 4, Gwinnett 3

Cole Irvin - 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 5 GB, 4 FB
J.P. Crawford - 1 for 4, R, 2B, RBI, BB
Adron Chambers - 2 for 3, 2B, BB, CS
Damek Tomscha - 0 for 2, R, 2 BB
Logan Moore - 2 for 3, R, BB

Cole Irvin just keeps plugging away in AAA, picking up his 7th win and lowering his ERA to 2.62. The lefty has a 61:17 K/BB in 11 starts (68.2 IP). J.P. Crawford makes a stop in Lehigh Valley on his rehab journey. If I were to guess, he’ll likely stay there until the Phillies play the Brewers at home this upcoming Friday. Pedro Beato made things interesting in the bottom of 9th, giving up 2 runs before recording his 16th save.

Reading 4, Altoona 2

Franklyn Kilome - 6.2 IP, 9 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 5 K, 2 WP, 5 GB, 6 FB
Malquin Canelo - 1 for 4, K
Cornelius Randolph - 2 for 4, R, K
Jiandido Tromp - 0 for 4, K
Darick Hall - 2 for 4, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI
Zach Green - 1 for 4, 2 K
Deivi Grullon - 0 for 4, K (catcher interference error)
Jan Hernandez - 2 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, SB
Emmanuel Marrero - 0 for 3, BB, K

Franklyn Kilome throws 73 of his 101 pitches for strikes, but gets the no-decision in this one. He’s also been showing signs of slight improvement over his last 3 starts now, going 19.1 innings of 18 hit/5 earned run ball with a 15:4 K/BB. Reading scored all their runs via two 2-run blasts. Darick Hall hit his 2nd HR with Reading in the 6th inning to give the Fightins a 2-1 lead. With the game tied in the top of the 9th, Jan Hernandez mashed his 5th HR of the season to put Reading ahead. He also stole his 5th base of the season in the game.

Clearwater 9, Daytona 3

Connor Seabold - 5.2 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 6 K, 2 HR, WP, 10 GB, 1 FB
J.D. Hammer - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R
Arquimedes Gamboa - 1 for 6, R, RBI, K
Adam Haseley - 1 for 5, 2 R, 2 RBI, K
Austin Listi - 1 for 3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 BB, K
Edgar Cabral - 2 for 5, 2B, RBI
Henri Lartigue - 0 for 5
Raul Rivas - 1 for 5, R, CS
Jose Pujols - 2 for 5, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI
Jose Gomez - 3 for 5, 2 R (fielding error)
Luke Williams - 2 for 5, 2B, RBI, K, SB

Connor Seabold had trouble with the long-ball yesterday, but was able to hold on for his 2nd victory of the season. The offense behind him went off for 13 hits, including homers from Jose Pujols (8) and Austin Listi (6). Pujols’ season line is up to .311/.358/.503 with a 68 strikeouts to just 11 walks in 177 at-bats. Adam Haseley’s single extended his hitting streak to 8 games, but his on-base streak has now reached an impressive 23 games. If you paid attention above, everyone’s favorite glasses-wearing, tool-named reliever made his season-debut.
