Phillies MLR 7/3-7/4/18

MLB: New York Yankees at Philadelphia Phillies Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Tuesday: Lehigh Valley 4 - Syracuse 2
Wednesday: Syracuse 9 - Lehigh Valley 2

Eshelman: 6 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, WP
Waguespack: 4.1 IP, 4 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, HR
Neris: 1 IP, 2 H, BB, 3 K
Walding: 2 for 7, 3B, R, RBI, 3 K, BB
Logan Moore: 0 for 3, 2 K

Neris strikes out the side, but keeps things interesting by loading the bases in the process. Walding was the lone bright spot in the 9-2 game and a back hole in the win. Go figure.

Tuesday: Reading 7 - Hartford 1
Wednesday: Reading 5 - New Hampshire 3

Kilome: 7 IP, 3 H, ER, 4 BB, 6 K, WP, HBP
Viza: 3 IP, H, 3 R, ER, 5 K, BB, HBP
Canelo: 3 for 9, 2B, R, 2 K
Randolph: 1 for 6, K, 2B, RBI, 2 R, 2 BB, K
Listi: 2 for 7, R, 2 K, BB
Hall: 1 for 5, HR, R, 2 RBI, 2 BB, 2 K
Green: 2 for 8, 2B, RBI, R
Jan Hernandez: 4 for 8, 2 2B, HR, 3 R, 3 RBI, SB, K
Grullon: 1 for 1, BB, 2 RBI
Tromp: 0 for 4, K

Kilome got lucky that he only gave up 1 run; Viza did not. Viza had a far better game, but worse defense (including one error of his own). Jan Hernandez was not my guess for breakout player this year, but he’s not got his 10th Homer and he’s played nearly as many positions (okay, hyperbole there).

Tuesday: Clearwater 3 - Lakeland 2
Wednesday: Tampa 5 - Clearwater 1

Requena: 5 IP, 2 H, ER, 2 BB, 7 K
Tirado: 2 IP, 3 H, 3 K, BB, WP
Falter: 4 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, BB, 5 K, WP
Williams: 0 for 6, BB, K
Gamboa: 1 for 4, RBI, K
Haseley: 3 for 8, HR, RBI, 2 R
Pujols: 3 for 8, 2B, HR, R, 2 RBI
Moniak: 0 for 7, 4 K
Cumana: 1 for 3, 2B

Pujols and Haseley with solid games. Requena with a nice start and a competent effort from Tirado in what I believe is his 50th season in the organization.

Tuesday: Delmarva 5 - Lakewood 2
Wednesday: Greensboro 4 - Lakewood 3

Stewart: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 4 K
Young: 4.2 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, BB, 6 K, HR, WP
Vierling: 2 for 8, SB
Muzziotti: 2 for 8, 2B, R, 2 K
Scheiner: 2 for 8, 2B, HR, R, 3 RBI, K
Ortiz: 2 for 8, HR, R, RBI, K

Seriously, 2 for 8 was the jam the last 2 days. Not many K’s or walks, but some dingers and doubles are nice. Weird game for Stewart who rarely walks anyone really.

Tuesday: Auburn 4 - Williamsport 1
Wednesday: West Virginia 7 - Williamsport 5

Armas: 6 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 7 K, HR
Mezquita: 5 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 5 K, WP, HBP
Guzman: 3 for 8, 2 R, BB, 3 K, SB
Marchan: 3 for 4, R, BB, SB
Bohm: 1 for 8, 3 K, BB
Pelletier: 3 for 8, HBP, 2 3B, RBI, 3 K
Lancaster: 1 for 3, 2B, 2 BB, K
Brayan Gonzalez: 3 for 7, 2B, 3 RBI, BB, 3 K, SB

Tuesday: Phillies East 4 - Blue Jays 2
Pirates 13 - Phillies West 5
Wednesday: Phillies East 7 - Tigers West 2
Phillies West 7 - Yankees West 4

Pipkin: 3 IP, 4 H, ER, 2 K
Vargas: 4 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, K, WP, HBP
Zoellner: 4 for 8, 2B, RBI, 2 R, 2 K, BB
Aparicio: 3 for 5, 2B, R, K
de la Cruz: 1 for 7, 2B, R, RBI, 4 K
Simmons: 0 for 2
Gutierrez: 3 for 9, 2 2B, 3 RBI, R
