Lehigh Valley 10, Durham 3

Enyel De Los Santos - 6 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 3 K, HR, 5 GB, 3 FB
Jesmuel Valentin - 2 for 4, R, 2B, 3 RBI, K
Mitch Walding - 2 for 4, R, RBI, K
Joey Meneses - 2 for 3, R, RBI
Dylan Cozens - 0 for 3, RBI, 2 K (outfield assist, 3B)
Zach Green - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2B, HR, 2 RBI, K

Enyel De Los Santos reaches double-digit wins in his first AAA appearance since a July 29th start. He got support from the offense via 12 hits. Zach Green is seemingly turning things around after a dreadful start in Lehigh Valley. In his first 63 PA he was slashing .175/.238/.281, but in his last 29 PA he is cruising with a .393/.414/.750 line. Let’s hope he keeps that up. His HR was his 19th of the season across two levels.

Clearwater 3, Bradenton 1

Bailey Falter - 6 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 8 K, 3 GB, 4 FB
Raul Rivas - 0 for 4, 2 K
Mickey Moniak - 1 for 4
Wilson Ramos - 1 for 3, R
Henri Lartigue - 0 for 2, R, BB, K
Luke Williams - 0 for 3
Daniel Brito - 1 for 2, 3B, 2 RBI, BB (fielding error)
Kevin Markham - 0 for 3, K
Jose Gomez - 0 for 3, 2 K

Bailey Falter is quitely putting together a solid campaign in Clearwater, even if it’s been an injury-plagued one. In his two starts since returning from his latest stint on the DL, he has gone 12 IP and given up 1 run on 9 hits while striking out 10 and walking none. Falter’s ERA is down to 2.97 on the season. Daniel Brito broke the 1-1 tie in the 4th inning with a 2-run triple. Wilson Ramos likely made one of this last rehab starts before joining the Phillies. Mickey Moniak extended his hitting-streak to 7 games.

Lakewood 6, Hickory 4

Spencer Howard - 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 8 K, 5 GB, 1 FB
Dalton Guthrie - 1 for 4, K
Simon Muzziotti - 0 for 5, RBI, 2 K
Jhailyn Ortiz - 2 for 4, R, BB
Colby Fitch - 2 for 3, R, 2B, BB, K
Nick Maton - 1 for 2, R, RBI, BB
Madison Stokes - 1 for 4, HR, 4 RBI
Gregori Rivero - 0 for 4, K
Josh Stephen - 2 for 4, R, K (fielding error)
Jose Antequera - 0 for 4, R, K

Spencer Howard continues to make me a little giddy. When he’s consistent, he is nearly unstoppable out there. Given his stuff, it isn’t hard to see #3 starter upside with the potential for #2 in the unlikely scenario that everything just clicks. Howard has 124 strikeouts in 97 innings. Madison Stokes delivered the big blow in the 6th with a grandslam HR, his 1st with Lakewood and 2nd overall this season. It looks like Jhailyn Ortiz may have broke out of that slump he was in. He has hits in his last 5 games and only has 3 strikeouts during that span.
