Last call for the BP Philly event — now with Sam Fuld and Gabe Kapler!

There’s still a little time left to buy tickets for the Baseball Prospectus ballpark event at Citizens Bank Park! The event is on Saturday, August 18, and it starts at 2pm for the 4pm game. More details will be forthcoming once you buy a ticket.

If you’re wondering what that is, you’ll be able to ask him on Saturday, but the article about his hiring provides good (if vague) description: “Integrate the use of information in all areas of on-field performance and preparation and make recommendations regarding the most effective areas of future research and analysis.” Neat!

• Corinne Landrey, former managing editor of Crashburn Alley and current research & development analyst for the Phillies
• Lewie Pollis, also a research & development analyst with the Phillies and an alumnus of Baseball Prospectus
