Today is the LAST day to buy tickets for the August 18 event!

There’s still a little time left to buy tickets for the Baseball Prospectus ballpark event at Citizens Bank Park! The event is on Saturday, August 18, and it starts at 2pm for the 4pm game. More details will be forthcoming once you buy a ticket.

Who will be there? I’m glad you asked!

  • Sam Fuld, former player and now the Phillies major league player information coordinator. If you’re wondering what that is, you’ll be able to ask him on Saturday, but the article about his hiring provides good (if vague) description: “Integrate the use of information in all areas of on-field performance and preparation and make recommendations regarding the most effective areas of future research and analysis.” Neat!
  • Andy Galdi, director of research & development
  • Corinne Landrey, former managing editor of Crashburn Alley and current research & development analyst for the Phillies
  • Lewie Pollis, also a research & development analyst with the Phillies and an alumnus of Baseball Prospectus

Am I forgetting anyone? Oh, right...

GABE KAPLER, MANAGER OF THE PHILLIES. HE WILL BE THERE.

This is a can’t-miss event, folks. Several of your favorite TGP writers will be in attendance (including myself), and there will also be a panel with some of the smartest prospect people out there: Jeff Paternostro, Jarrett Seidler, Mike Gianella (the three of them are Mets fans, but don’t hold that against them), Rob Mains, and our own Victor Filoromo, who has been doing scouting work for BP this year.

Your $46 doesn’t just buy you access to these excellent panels! You also get a ticket to the Phillies-Mets game, and all of us BP event people will be sitting in a section together.

This is the last day to buy tickets. After today, you won’t be able to buy them. If you don’t buy your tickets today, you will not be able to see Gabe Kapler’s glorious tan in person. Uh, I mean, you won’t be able to ask him your many intelligent questions!

Don’t wait! Click this link and buy your ticket right now!
