Game Thread 8/17: Mets at Phillies

Yesterday was a test in extremes. Lose by 20 in the first game, then win by three in the second game. At least the Phillies ended the day with a win, but woof. That’s some serious whiplash.

But let’s forget about yesterday. Today is here, and today is Aaron Nola Day!

It seems like the crowd wants the Phillies front office to pay Aaron Nola his money and extend him so he stays on the Phillies for the next five years. Will they listen? THEY SHOULD.

This is gonna be a barn burner, folks. Nola versus Noah Syndergaard. This is a pitching matchup that’s worth watching, and thankfully that’s just what we get to do.
