The last time Rhys Hoskins faced Miami starter Trevor Richards, he went 3-for-4 with a double. Odubel Herrera was similarly damaging. Cesar Hernandez and Jorge Alfaro hit doubles, too.
Of course, the Marlins won that game 6-3 even though Richards only went four innings—the Phillies couldn’t get their bats to work against any of the Marlins relievers. And then there’s the other downside: Richards has really been working on that change-up.
Among baseball insiders I've spoken with today, Trevor Richards' outing last night is still a topic of conversation. Scouts say you could put an 80 grade on that changeup from last night. It's a plus, plus pitch. #Marlins

Then again, after last night’s game, maybe the Phillies will just never lose again.
