Lehigh Valley 6, Buffalo 4

Drew Anderson - 6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, WP, HBP, 5 GB, 7 FB
Jesmuel Valentin - 2 for 5, SB
Mitch Walding - 0 for 4, R, BB, 4 K
Joey Meneses - 1 for 4, R, RBI, BB, 2 K
Aaron Altherr - 1 for 5, 3 K, SB

Drew Anderson got his 8th win in another solid effort. That is now 4 straight starts of which he has given up 3 runs or less with at least 5 IP. The offense did well for themselves despite collecting 16 strikeouts in the game. Ryan Goins hit his 2nd HR of the season, a 2-run blast to put the IronPigs on the board in the 6th inning. LHV was able to put things away with a 4-run 7th inning to give them a 6-2 lead.

Reading 8, Trenton 4

Felix Paulino - 6 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, BB, 3 K, 5 GB, 5 FB
Adam Haseley - 1 for 4, R, K
Austin Listi - 1 for 3, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI, BB (outfield assist, 2B)
Darick Hall - 1 for 4, 3 K
Cornelius Randolph - 1 for 4, RBI
Deivi Grullon - 1 for 3, HR, 2 RBI (catcher’s interference error)

Felix Paulino pitches well enough in his 3rd AA start, but it’s the offense that takes the show last night. Austin Listi hit a grandslam in the 3rd inning, his 7th HR with Reading (and 16th overall on the season). Deivi Grullon added a solo shot himself, his 16th of the season. Jan Hernandez was hit by a pitch in the 3rd inning and had to leave the game.

Clearwater 2, Tampa 0

Ramon Rosso - 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, BB, 7 K, WP, 6 GB, 3 FB (pickoff error)
Arquimedes Gamboa - 0 for 4, K
Mickey Moniak - 0 for 4, K
J.P. Crawford - 0 for 2, R, BB
Jose Pujols - 1 for 3, 2B, 2 RBI, K
Henri Lartigue - 0 for 3, 3 K
Luke Williams - 1 for 3, K
Edgar Cabral - 0 for 3, 3 K
Grenny Cumana - 0 for 3
Raul Rivas - 2 for 3, R, 2 SB

Ramon Rosso turns out one of his best performances since joining the Threshers. Since being promoted from Lakewood, Rosso has a 2.38 ERA with 29 strikeouts to 14 walks in 34 innings. The walks were also a problem in Lakewood (34 in 101.2 IP). The Threshers offense only got on the board via a 2-out 2-run double from Jose Pujols. J.P. Crawford was playing third base last night, but was once again hitless. In his 3 rehab games between GCL/Clearwater he is 0 for 6 with 5 walks and 3 strikeouts.

Lexington 4, Lakewood 0

Will Stewart - 5 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 6 K, 7 GB, 1 FB
Daniel Brito - 0 for 4, K
Simon Muzziotti - 2 for 4
Matt Vierling - 1 for 4, 2B, K
Nick Maton - 0 for 4, 2 K
Rodolfo Duran - 0 for 4
Dalton Guthrie - 1 for 4
Josh Stephen - 0 for 3
Jose Antequera - 0 for 3

Not a great game for the usually dominant BlueClaws. Will Stewart picks up his first loss of the season (yes, it’s August). The offense was held to 5 hits and were 0 for 6 with RISP.

Williamsport 2, West Virginia 1

Manuel Silva - 5.2 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 5 K, HR, 7 GB, 1 FB
Ben Aklinski - 2 for 4, 2 HR, K
Rafael Marchan - 2 for 4, 2B
Madison Stokes - 0 for 2, BB
Edwin Rodriguez - 0 for 3, K
Brayan Gonzalez - 0 for 3, 2 K
Jonathan Guzman - 0 for 3, K
Keudy Bocio - 1 for 3, CS
Seth Lancaster - 1 for 3, K, SB
Jesus Henriquez - 1 for 3, SB

Manuel Silva got his first win of the season last night. The 19 year old lefty has a 2.77 ERA in 39 innings with 35 strikeouts to 17 walks. Ben Aklinski was the only offense for the Crosscutters, hitting his 5th and 6th homers last night. The 2018 32nd round pick is slashing .275/.315/.461 in 102 at-bats for Williamsport.
