FanPost Friday: What do you think of the Phillies’ trade deadline moves?

This one is pretty simple.

For this week’s FanPost Friday suggestion, there really isn’t any reason to beat around the bush. There is a simple topic sticking out there for you to write about and it’s relatively straightforward:

What do you think of the job the Phillies did at the trade deadline?

There were three major acquisitions by general manager Matt Klentak - Wilson Ramos, Asdrubel Cabrera and Aaron Loup. Each of these players fits a different need (catcher, infield, and bullpen), but it isn’t very difficult to see what each was acquired. Ramos and Cabrera improve an offense that was in need of some more firepower while Loup gives the bullpen a lefthanded reliever for those September games against Bryce Harper, Daniel Murphy, Nick Markakis and Freddie Freeman.

However, was there anywhere else that could have used some tinkering? Are you completely sold on Nick Pivetta as the fifth starter, even before last night’s solid performance against the Marlins? Would you have paid the price for someone that was traded, such as Chris Archer? Was there someone else you had your eye on that was traded that you wish the Phillies had gone after?

Head on over to the FanPosts section and add your selection today. The best one will be put up on the main page Sunday evening.
