Game Thread 8/8: Phillies at Diamondbacks

You didn’t notice, but Vince Velasquez has been infiltrating league leader lists through the last few weeks, his 2.12 ERA since June 9 putting him fifth in all of MLB in that span. That gives the Phillies a good shot in the rubber game of this three-game set with the Diamondbacks, although solid starting pitching is just what the Phillies do anymore, apparently.

This afternoon, we get to start watching the game at work, instead of stop watching it on the couch because of unconsciousness.
