Game Thread 9/26: Phillies at Rockies

I’m torn. The Phillies have lost six games in a row, and I really, really want them to win one. Just one. They have to face the Braves after the Rockies, so there aren’t a lot more chances for them to win. They need to do it, just one more time.

But here’s the thing: the more the Rockies win, the tougher it is for the Cardinals to make the playoffs. And I want the Cardinals to miss out on the playoffs a whole lost. Like really a lot. So if the Phillies lose, they’re helping the cause.

I’m fine with any outcome, win or lose. I’ll try to remember that when I’m yelling in anger at the game tonight.
