Yeah I’m still kind of upset about Tuesday night’s 10-6, 10-inning loss, how about you?
Aaron Nola couldn’t hold a big lead. The bullpen was slightly misused and couldn’t get the job done. And it was the second time in two weeks the Phils blew a late lead to their hated division rivals.
Ugh. It was awful.
Tonight, the Phils will try to right the ship when they play the series finale against the Nats at Citizens Bank Park, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm. Tonight, Nick Pivetta tries to put his previous two starts behind him and prove that all that “breakout” talk coming into the season wasn’t a bunch of hot air. He’ll be opposed by Patrick Corbin, who has a 3.75 ERA with 13 Ks and 3 BBs in two starts against the Mets this season.
