Game Thread 4/17: Mets at Phillies

The Mets fell hard last night in a Phillies win with so many fun little subplots, it was enough to make you forget the 9-8 extra-inning slog they lost the night before: Scott Kingery, productive and powerful hitter; Jerad Eickhoff, four-inning out machine; J.T. Realmuto, eliminator of Jorge Alfaro memories; and all the tomfoolery and jackassery that defined the Mets defense. It’s a new day, and those 14 runs they scored last night have turned back to zero. With Jake Arrieta on the mound, the Phillies look to win a series against the hated Mets.
