The Phillies have a stretch of series here against some of the National League’s best; the furiously resurging Cubs, the steadily dominant Dodgers, the bouncing back Rockies and Cardinals, and tonight, they get the Brewers, a team fully capable of taking the NL Central flag, 24-18 after the season’s first month and a half.
The Milwaukee offense didn’t show up much in their recent squabbles with Chicago, a key series that could have seen them gain some ground in their division. Instead, they let a few games get away from them, and look to work their feelings out against a Phillies team that has started looking better of late, despite having to rely more on its pitching than it offense.
It’s Freddy Peralta vs. Aaron Nola in game one.
