Doc, you taught me tenacity, grit, perseverance — and, most importantly, how to truly love the game of baseball.
We miss you more and more with every day that passes. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/jRGtoCVC8d
Today marks the Birthday of, not only an all time great baseball player, but an all time great person, who was taken from us too soon.
Roy Halladay was, in short, one of my favorite baseball players — he was a living, breathing envoy of this game, and what makes it so great. Doc was honorable, Doc was hard-working, and Doc was, above all else, a true competitor.
Let us take a trip down memory lane, and reflect upon the true mastery that is Doc’s Hall of Fame worthy career,
The Acquisition:
The Perfect Game:
The No-Hitter of ‘Doctober’:
“No speech — let’s win two more.”
The Memory:
Gone too soon my friend!!! Blessed to have shared the field with you as a teammate, competitor, friend and more importantly a brother. Praying for Brandy, Ryan and Brayden

Such a sad day. We lost a great ball player but an even better human being. Many prayers to Brandy, Ryan, & Brayden. We will miss you Roy.

The first cutter I ever saw was out of the hands of Roy Halladay. One of the best to do it. My condolences to his family.Lord be with them

In shock over the terrible news about Roy Halladay... a pitcher I grew up admiring & rooting for. Praying for his family & friends. #RIPDoc

Wishing you the happiest of Birthdays, Doc. You’ve left a lasting mark on the city of Philadelphia, the city of Toronto, and the game of Baseball itself.
We love you.
