Phillies MLR: Austin Listi, huh?

Phillies Minor League Roundup for 6/26/19

MLB: Philadelphia Phillies-Workouts Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

Today’s Probables:

LHV: Tyler Viza
REA: TBD
CLR: Andrew Brown
LWD: Francisco Morales
WIL: Gustavo Armas

Syracuse 3, Lehigh Valley 2

Ramon Rosso - 4.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 5 BB, 4 K, HR, 5 GB, 3 FB
Edubray Ramos - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, BB, HBP
Nick Williams - 1 for 4, BB, 2 K
Austin Listi - 2 for 4, 2B, RBI, K
Mitch Walding - 1 for 3, BB, K
Jan Hernandez - 0 for 1, K

It’s been an uneven first three AAA starts for Ramon Rosso, who gave up 0 earned runs in his debut and 6 in his second start. This one was somewhere in between that. The 5 walks are concerning given that he’s done a much better job with his command in 2018. Our old friend Tom Windle gave up the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th. Austin Listi continues to crush the ball and his now slashing .474/.565/1.053 with 3 HR in his first 19 AAA at-bats.

Reading 9, Trenton 2

Tommy Hunter - 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 K, 1 GB, 1 FB
Mauricio Llovera - 5 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 K, HBP
Josh Stephen - 2 for 5, 2 R, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI
Alec Bohm - 0 for 4, RBI, BB
Mickey Moniak - 0 for 4, 2 R, RBI, K, HBP
Darick Hall - 2 for 4, R, 2 2B, 2 RBI, BB, K
Cornelius Randolph - 2 for 4, 2B, K

Another Tommy Hunter rehab start, this time with Reading. With 5 rehab innings in the books, I’d venture to say he is awfully close to rejoining the Phillies. Alec Bohm is now 0 for 7 in his last two games. Llovera earned his 3rd victory of the season. It was his lowest strikeout total of the season BUT also his only outing in which he didn’t walk a batter (12). Positivity folks! Josh Stephen remains a surprising bright spot, slashing .259/.330/.444 with 4 HR and 5 SB as a 21 year old in AA.

Clearwater 5, Lakeland 3

Anthony Requena - 5 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 6 K, 2 HBP, 4 GB, 2 FB
Nick Maton - 2 for 5, 2 2B (fielding error)
Simon Muzziotti - 1 for 5, K
Jhailyn Ortiz - 0 for 5, R, K
Rodolfo Duran - 2 for 3, R, RBI, BB
Daniel Brito - 1 for 3, BB, K, SB
Dalton Guthrie - 1 for 3, HR, 3 RBI, BB, K

After struggling the last few outings, Anthony Requena dishes out one of his better performances of the season. The 22 year old has a 4.73 ERA with 65 strikeouts to 24 walks in 66.2 innings. Jhailyn Ortiz saw his six-game hitting streak come to an end, while Nick Maton extended his to six.

Delmarva 5, Lakewood 0

Jhordany Mezquita - 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 7 K, HR, 3 GB, 1 FB
Dominic Pipkin - 0.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, K, HR, WP
Jonathan Guzman - 2 for 4
Rafael Marchan - 1 for 4
Luis Garcia - 0 for 4, 3 K
Abraham Gutierrez - 0 for 3, K (passed ball)
Carlos De La Cruz - 0 for 3, 2 K (fielding error)
Malvin Matos - 0 for 3
Cole Stobbe - 0 for 3, 2 K
Ben Pelletier - 0 for 2, K, HBP
Jake Holmes - 0 for 3

Offense with the Blue Claws can be non-existent at times. Mainly due to anyone other than Guzman, Marchan and Gutierrez hitting below .200. Dominic Pipkin’s outing was his shortest of the season...since his last in which he went 1.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB last week.

Auburn 4, Williamsport 3

Luis Ramirez - 2.1 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, WP, 2 GB, 2 FB
Rafael Carvajal - 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 K, 2 GB, 3 FB
Hunter Markwardt - 2 for 5, RBI, CS
Logan Simmons - 1 for 5, 2 K
McCarthy Tatum - 1 for 4, R, BB, 2 K
Juan Aparicio - 1 for 4, R, 2B, K, HBP
Nate Fassnacht - 0 for 4, RBI, HBP (fielding error)
Logan O’Hoppe - 3 for 4, R, 2B, RBI, BB (missed catch error)
Rudy Rott - 1 for 4, K, HBP
Hunter Hearn - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K
Tucker Maxwell - 0 for 3, BB, K

GCL Blue Jays 3, GCL Phillies East 1
GCL Tigers West 10, GCL Phillies West 7
