Sure, the Phillies were swept by the Marlins, a terrible baseball team, what feels like minutes ago. But since then, they’ve swept the Mets, featured a timely, clutch offense, witnessed two good Aaron Nola starts in a row, and won their first two walk-off victories of the year! All because of a bamboo plant that Brad Miller brought into the clubhouse. They’re a new team, and that team is perfectly capable of beating the Marlins. So shut up, Marlins.
If you are suggesting this has more to do with who the Phillies are playing than with a plant a utility player brought into the clubhouse because he thought it was neat, then I am suggesting that you are, in fact, totally wrong.
