Lehigh Valley 5, Toledo 4 (10 innings)

Damon Jones - 3.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 3 K, 7 GB, 0 FB
Austin Listi - 1 for 5, R, K
Deivy Grullon - 0 for 5, 2 K
Jan Hernandez - 1 for 3, R, 3B
Malquin Canelo - 1 for 4, R (fielding error)

Damon Jones has struggled quite a bit since his AAA call-up. In three starts now he has given up 14 earned runs on 11 hits and giving up 10 walks. Command has always been an issue for Jones, but had seemed to mitigated some of the issues through High-A and AA this season. Nowhere to go but up from here. The Iron Pigs pulled off a fun come from behind win last night. They scored two runs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game up. Matt McBride delivered the walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th to score Austin Listi.

New Hampshire 9, Reading 1

Gustavo Armas - 3 IP, 8 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, HR, WP, 3 GB, 1 FB
Josh Stephen - 2 for 4, HR, BB, K
Alec Bohm - 0 for 5, K
Darick Hall - 1 for 4, K
Jose Gomez - 3 for 4, 2 2B
Arquimedes Gamboa - 0 for 3, BB, K

Gustavo Armas simply has not been good this season. Across three levels he has put up: 30.2 IP, 55 H, 33 ER, 14 BB, 26 K. The offense stunk, going 1 for 13 with RISP and leaving 13 on base. Alec Bohm is in a bit of a funk at the plate and is batting .231 in his last 10 games (39 AB). Josh Stephen with the lone run via his 7th HR of the season.

Clearwater 5, Charlotte 3

Colton Eastman - 7 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 4 K, 2 HR, HBP, 3 GB, 9 FB
Daniel Brito - 2 for 4, 2 R, 2 2B, K
Simon Muzziotti - 1 for 4
Rodolfo Duran - 0 for 3, 2 K (passed ball)
Nick Matera - 1 for 1, 2B, 2 RBI
Nick Maton - 1 for 3, 2B, RBI, BB, K
Matt Vierling - 1 for 4, R, 2B

Colton Eastman back down with Clearwater after a spot-start with Reading. With the Threshers he’s been consistently good, putting up a 3.36 ERA with 79 strikeouts to 22 walks in 75 innings this season. The offense plated 4 runs in the 7th in a 3-1 game to retake the lead.

Charleston 4, Lakewood 3

Victor Santos - 5 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 2 K, 4 GB, 7 FB
Francisco Morales - 3 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 GB, 4 FB
Jonathan Guzman - 1 for 4, R, 3B, K
McCarthy Tatum - 0 for 4, 2 K
Luis Garcia - 0 for 3, RBI
Abraham Gutierrez - 0 for 1, 3 BB (throwing error)
Rafael Marchan - 0 for 4, K
Malvin Matos - 2 for 4, R, 2B
Seth Lancaster - 0 for 4, 3 K
Ben Pelletier - 0 for 3, RBI, 2 K
Yerwin Trejo - 0 for 2, R, BB, K

Francisco Morales is slumping after a masterful June. In his last 3 starts in July he has gone: 8.1 IP, 8 H, 9 ER, 7 BB, 8 K. Overall I would say its been a very positive season for Morales and he is without a doubt the 3rd best pitching prospect in the system.

Williamsport 6, Auburn 2

Leonel Aponte - 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 K, 3 GB, 5 FB
Corbin Williams - 0 for 4, BB, 2 K, CS
Johan Rojas - 1 for 4, R, CS
Bryson Stott - 2 for 3, 2 R, 2B, RBI, BB
Juan Aparicio - 2 for 4, R
Logan O’Hoppe - 3 for 3, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI, SB
Kendall Simmons - 0 for 4, 2 K
Rudy Rott - 2 for 3, 2B, BB, K
Hunter Hearn - 2 for 4, 2B, RBI, 2 K
Jake Holmes - 0 for 4, K

Logan O’Hoppe does it again! The 19 year old catcher hit his 5th HR of the season (3rd in his last 10 games). He is slashing .260/.303/.530 on the season. Right now he is riding a 8-game hitting streak and his hitting .400 in his last 10 games. He also stole his 2nd base of the season.
