An exciting finish to this one. The Iron Pigs were down 4-1 entering the top of the 8th. They were able to chip away to bring it to 4-3 entering the 9th. They would then score 4 runs in the inning to take the lead. Nick Williams continues to crush the ball in AAA. He is slashing .340/.399/.614 in 153 at-bats. Meanwhile EDLS struggles persist and has given up 10 hits, 7 walks and 9 earned runs in his last two starts.

Not a great one for Reading, aside from Colton Eastman’s performance. He is now sporting a 1.99 ERA with 24 K’s to 7 BB’s in 22.2 AA innings. The offense was collectively 1-hit and were 0 for 5 with RISP (Erie had 3 errors to put guys on as well).

Another win! Bryson Stott extended his hitting streak to 8 games (and is slashing .296/.372/.519 in Williamsport). Corbin Williams stole his 26th base in 32 attempts. One of my favorite things about this team is the diverse roster. They have players representing the US, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Russia, Taiwan, Colombia, Jamaica and Australia.
