MLB: Arizona Diamondbacks at Philadelphia Phillies Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Lehigh Valley 7, Louisville 4

Enyel De Los Santos - 5 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 4 K, HR, HBP, 3 GB, 5 FB

Deivy Grullon - 1 for 4, RBI, BB, 3 K

An exciting finish to this one. The Iron Pigs were down 4-1 entering the top of the 8th. They were able to chip away to bring it to 4-3 entering the 9th. They would then score 4 runs in the inning to take the lead. Nick Williams continues to crush the ball in AAA. He is slashing .340/.399/.614 in 153 at-bats. Meanwhile EDLS struggles persist and has given up 10 hits, 7 walks and 9 earned runs in his last two starts.

Nick Maton - 0 for 3, K

Arquimedes Gamboa - 0 for 3

Not a great one for Reading, aside from Colton Eastman’s performance. He is now sporting a 1.99 ERA with 24 K’s to 7 BB’s in 22.2 AA innings. The offense was collectively 1-hit and were 0 for 5 with RISP (Erie had 3 errors to put guys on as well).

James McArthur matches a season-high 5 innings and 84 pitches (47 strikes). It also earned him his first win with Clearwater. He struggles with his command, but keeps striking guys out. He has a 79:47 K:BB in 71 innings across two levels this season. Simon Muzziotti has his 11th 3+ hit game of the season and stole his 21st base to boot.

Dominic Pipkin with his best start of the season, matching a season-high 5 innings and not allowing a run in a game for the first time in 11 starts. The BlueClaws were down 2-1 entering the bottom of the 9th. Ben Pelletier provided the walk-off heroics with his 10th HR of the season.

Leonel Aponte - 3.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 5 K, 5 GB, 1 FB
Hsin-Chieh Lin - 3.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 3 K, WP, 0 GB, 2 FB

Jake Holmes - 1 for 4

Another win! Bryson Stott extended his hitting streak to 8 games (and is slashing .296/.372/.519 in Williamsport). Corbin Williams stole his 26th base in 32 attempts. One of my favorite things about this team is the diverse roster. They have players representing the US, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Russia, Taiwan, Colombia, Jamaica and Australia.
