Lehigh Valley 5, Syracuse 3

Damon Jones - 4.1 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 5 BB, 5 K, HR, 6 GB, 0 FB
Nick Pivetta - 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 K
Nick Williams - 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, K
Deivy Grullon - 3 for 4, 2 R, 2B, HR, K
Austin Listi - 0 for 4, K
Malquin Canelo - 1 for 3

Damon Jones hasn’t quite figured out AAA ball as of yet. His command has seemed to regress after he seemingly figured some things out at AA. Thankfully he had Nick Williams (10) and Deivy Grullon (19) hitting bombs. Grullon’s season line moved to .283/.355/.490, which certainly is not any better than a current back-up catcher on the big club.

Bowie 3, Reading 1

Colton Eastman - 6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 6 K, 6 GB, 2 FB
Mickey Moniak - 0 for 4
Alec Bohm - 1 for 4, R, 2B, K
Darick Hall - 2 for 4, 2B, RBI, K
Cornelius Randolph - 1 for 3, BB
Nick Maton - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K

Colton Eastman continues to perform better than what he was showing in High-A. Since being promoted to Reading he is sporting a 1.88 ERA with 30 strikeouts to 10 walks in 28.2 innings. Unfortunately the Fightin’s offense was a bit lifeless, being held to 4 hits. Jonathan Hennigan gave up two runs in the top of the 8th to break the tie game. Mickey Moniak returned to the lineup for the first time since August 23rd.

Clearwater 5, Lakeland 3

Anthony Requena - 5 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 K, HBP, 6 GB, 4 FB
Simon Muzziotti - 2 for 5, R, K, CS
Jhailyn Ortiz - 2 for 4, RBI, 2 K
Matt Vierling - 0 for 4
Rafael Marchan - 3 for 3, R, 2B, HBP, CS
Daniel Brito - 1 for 3, R, 2B, RBI, BB

Anthony Requena picks up his 9th win and sees his ERA drop under 5.00 on the season (4.90). He got off to a slow start since being promoted to Clearwater, but Rafael Marchan has been great in his last 10 games, hitting .303 with 3 walks to just 2 strikeouts in 33 at-bats.

Delmarva 7, Lakewood 0

Victor Santos - 2.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 2 GB, 2 FB
Francisco Morales - 3 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 4 K, HBP, 2 GB, 2 FB
Jonathan Guzman - 0 for 1, K
Malvin Matos - 2 for 4
Luis Garcia - 0 for 4, 4 K
Cole Stobbe - 0 for 4, 3 K
Abrahan Gutierrez - 0 for 2, BB, K (throwing error)
Carlos De La Cruz - 0 for 3, 2 K
Ben Pelletier - 0 for 3, 2 K (outfield assist, home)
McCarthy Tatum - 0 for 3, 2 K
Yerwin Trejo - 1 for 3

Ugly one for the BlueClaws with Victor Santos taking his 10th loss in an up and down season. Francisco Morales wasn’t his usual dominant self, facing obvious control issues last night. The offense was collectively 3-hit, struck out 16 times and didn’t have an extra-base hit. For the cherry on top, Jonathan Guzman left the game early and was replaced by Hunter Stovall.

Williamsport 11, Batavia 4

Jose Conopoima - 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 5 K, 5 GB, 4 FB
Junior Tejada - 3.2 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, HR, 2 WP, 0 GB, 4 FB (throwing error)
Bryson Stott - 1 for 4, 2 R, BB
Jake Holmes - 3 for 5, R, 2B, 4 RBI, K, CS (fielding error)
Johan Rojas - 3 for 4, R, 2B, RBI, BB, K
Kendall Simmons - 1 for 4, R, RBI, BB, 2 K
Rudy Rott - 1 for 5, R
Hunter Hearn - 1 for 5, HR, 2 RBI, 3 K
Nate Fassnacht - 2 for 5, HR, 2 RBI
Herbert Iser - 1 for 4, 2 R, 2B
Nicolas Torres - 1 for 4, R

An impressive win for the Crosscutters and Jose Conopoima who went a season-high 5 innings and 67 pitches (50 strikes). The game was never close as Batavia scored all 4 of their runs in the top of the 9th inning. Hunter Hearn hit his 5th HR of the season and Nate Fassnacht added his 2nd. Jake Holmes has remembered how to hit and is averaging .359 over his last 10 games. Johan Rojas is also hot, hitting .318 over his last 10 with a 5-game hitting streak to boot.
