Deivy Grullon - 0 for 3, BB, 2 K (fielding error)
Austin Listi - 1 for 4, 2 K
Malquin Canelo - 0 for 3, BB, 3 K

A really good start from Dan Straily after a disastrous debut (5 IP, 6 ER) last week. The offense was woeful, going 1 for 11 with RISP (sound familiar?). They wound up scoring the eventual winning run in the 8th via a wild pitch.

Reading 8, Hartford 5

Connor Seabold - 6 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 6 K, HR, 4 GB, 6 FB
Mickey Moniak - 2 for 4, 2 HR, 3 RBI, K
Alec Bohm - 1 for 4, HR
Darick Hall - 0 for 4
Arquimedes Gamboa - 1 for 3, 2 R, HR, BB

Y’all like dingers? Moniak was the star of the night, hitting both his 8th and 9th of the season. Arquimedes Gamboa hit his 1st and Alec Bohm notched his 11th AA knock. The hero of the night was pinch-hitter Josh Stephen who blasted his 8th in the bottom of the 9th for the walkoff win. Connor Seabold didn’t get the win, but went a season-high 6 innings and 84 pitches (65 strikes).

Clearwater 3, Dunedin 1

Andrew Brown - 6 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 3 K, 8 GB, 2 FB
Simon Muzziotti - 1 for 4, R, SB

Matt Vierling - 0 for 3, K, CS, HBP
Madison Stokes - 2 for 4, RBI, 2 K
Daniel Brito - 0 for 4, K
Nick Matera - 1 for 3, HR, 2 RBI, K

It’s been a tough season for Andrew Brown (6.72 ERA), but last night was one of his best starts of the season. Nick Matera hit his 1st HR with Clearwater, a two-run shot in the 2nd inning which would prove to be the difference in the game. Jhailyn Ortiz is lost as the plate again, going 3 for 36 in his last 10 games with 16 strikeouts.

So Kendall Simmons, huh? In his last 10 games he is hitting .387 with 6 homeruns. That’s it, that’s the highlight.
