You know, there are a lot of things I don’t know. One of them is about video games. You can see in the above picture that Cole Irvin was a particpant in an NHL All-Star game thing where he played with an NHL player (Matthew Tkachuk) and did something. I guess it’s because I grew up without a Nintendo or anything of my own that I never really got into video games. Oh well...
Phillies news
- While you should always listen to the podcasts available here on The Good Phight network, you should also listen to Steaks and Seidman as well. Here, though, Seidman is joined by Ricky Bo’ to talk a little about the impending changes to the game.
- At the Athletic, Matt Gelb ($) gets into the changes that Rhys Hoskins is making over the winter to have a slightly less roller coasterish season.
MLB news
- It looks like Dusty Baker is going to be the pick to lead the Astros in the post-sign stealing era. Personally, I am a Dusty fan and I hope he succeeds.
- Eugenio Suarez, one of the more underrated players in the game, had shoulder surgery, but should be ready for spring.
- Mookie Betts wants to get paid, but it might make more sense for the Red Sox to trade him. <gigantic eyeroll>
Rumor roundup
- The Red Sox might have a frontrunner for their manager’s position.
Red Sox are believed to have interest in Mark Kotsay for their next manager. Unclear if he's interviewed yet.

Kotsay, now an A's coach, played for Sox in 08-09. He was interviewed by Houston recently.
