One of the more iconic moments in team history was when Roy Halladay threw a perfect game against the Marlins in 2010, his first season in Philadelphia. After chasing him for years, Ruben Amaro acquired his “white whale” and dropped the ace into his pitching staff. Halladay became instantly popular in the city, but this was the game that vaulted him into superstar status amongst the fanbase. He became a god.
NBC Sports Philadelphia has decided that tonight, for the Opening Day that wasn’t, they will replay the game in its entirety and we’ll be here to discuss it. You can use this game thread to talk all about this special night, any memories you have of Doc or anything else in general. Enjoy!
